Hello All - Just a heads up on our plans for SXSW this year. We will be hosting a day party at Room 710 - 710 Red River St. on Thursday, March 13th starting at 1:00pm. Still working out the time slots but we will be featuring: THE LIFE AND TIMES, ARCHITECTS, ROMAN NUMERALS, SIRHAN SIRHAN, THE VALLEY ARENA and intermittent performances by BACON SHOE. oh, and of course, Free Admission, Free Beer, and merch giveaways! Thus, the unstoppable Anodyne Records Juggernaut of Independent Rock and Roll marches on, led this fall by the newly appointed Generalissimos of Indie-Sexy, THE VALLEY ARENA. Who, on November 13th will unleash their super-weapon titled "Sesso.Vita" upon an unsuspecting world and then march their sexy army from hamlet to dell turning our own libidinous urges against us in a display of heretofore unimaginable psychic jujitsu, leaving charred earth and moist undies in their terrible wake. We will be co-hosting a split label showcase at CMJ this year with Sidecho Records on Wed. Oct 17th at the Lion's Den - 214 Sullivan St.(Between Bleecker and West 3rd St.), NYC. We will feature the Meat Puppets (11:00PM) and the Valley Arena (8:00PM) Tickets are available here.

(only 150 tix available to the public so act fast!) - otherwise, CMJ badge is required.

The following evening, Thurs. Oct 18th, Meat Puppets and Roman Numerals will be performing across the way at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ This is not a CMJ sanctioned event. Tickets available here.

On Sat. Oct 20th, Roman Numerals will perform at Fat Baby - 112 Rivington St., NYC at 8:00PM as part of a multi-label showcase featuring the Matches, the Spores and more. $10.00 w/ out CMJ badge.

3/7/2007 Anodyne Welcomes Meat Puppets

The brothers Kirkwood (Along with new drummer Ted Marcus) have reunited for a new record and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to release it. The release date is scheduled for July 17, 2007. Extensive touring to follow. Meat Puppets will be making several appearences at this year's South by Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. 1/16/2007 Shiner - Making Love E.P. Re-issue

We are happy to announce that we will be re-releasing Shiner's Making Love E.P. Some updates to the original include an updated package design - Standard digipak w/ new cd artwork and Proper level adjustments! Due to an error in mastering of the original, some of you may have received a low level version. This problem has been corrected. The official street date is 03/13/07. We will begin accepting pre-orders on 02/26/07.

10/6/2006 Anodyne Receives Props from The Pitch

A local label is often nothing more than a clever name that some unsigned band slapped on the back of its self-released CD. Not so Anodyne. For years, it was hard to tell just what Anodyne was doing outside of the immediate area, but now this little imprint has made its mark, thanks not only to owner John Hulston's organized ambition but also to one major factor: distro. The Architects don't stop. Because nobody can stop them -- not indifferent music-industry lackeys and not a teenage American market enamored of black bangs and screamo. The Architects will still play a limited Warped Tour run, open for Rancid, headline at tiny KC venues and hold four-hour rehearsals several times a week so that every show they put on is an exercise in jackhammering the shit out of rock and roll's front porch and trampling its rose bed.
